Your Spending Habits Are Killing Your Business

Your Business Isn’t Struggling Because of Low Sales — It’s Struggling Because of Your Spending Habits

(The Hard Truth Entrepreneurs Avoid)

Here’s a truth most entrepreneurs don’t want to admit:

Hindi laging benta ang problema.
Minsan, gastos mo ang sumisira sa negosyo.

In my 35 years as a business mentor, I’ve seen businesses with HIGH SALES…
pero bagsak pa rin.

Why?
Because the owner is bleeding money on the side.

Let’s talk about the spending habits silently killing your business.

❗ 1️⃣ You Spend Like You’ve Already Succeeded

Marami pang entrepreneurs ang:
✔ mag-iinvest agad sa mamahaling equipment
✔ magpapaganda nang sobra ng store
✔ bibili ng pinakamahal na gamit
✔ puro upgrade kahit hindi pa kailangan

You’re acting like a big company
with small-company cash flow.

Your business isn’t ready for your lifestyle yet.

❗ 2️⃣ You Mix Personal and Business Money

This is the number one silent killer.

  • pang-grocery
  • pang-school
  • pang-shopping
  • pang-emergency
  • pang-birthday
  • pang-bayad ng utang ng kamag-anak

Lahat galing sa business cash register.

Hindi ka nanakaw ng ibang tao —
ikaw ang nagnanakaw sa sarili mong negosyo.

❗ 3️⃣ You Overspend on Impressing People

The pressure to look successful is expensive.

You don’t need:
❌ the newest phone
❌ a luxury watch
❌ a more expensive car
❌ lavish dinners
❌ fancy branding agad

Hindi mo kailangang patunayan na successful ka.

Focus on BUILDING success, not LOOKING successful.

❗ 4️⃣ You Hire Too Fast, Fire Too Slow

Some entrepreneurs:

  • hire friends
  • hire relatives
  • hire people they don't need
  • hire even if walang system

Then they complain about payroll.

If your team is bloated,
your profit will be bloated too —
with expenses.

❗ 5️⃣ You Join Every Seminar, Expo, or Event

Education is good.
Networking is good.

Pero kung lahat binabayaran mo…
at wala ka namang ina-apply sa business…

That’s not growth.
That’s addiction to motivation.

Invest wisely, not emotionally.

❗ 6️⃣ You Don’t Track Money — You Just Spend

Madalas, ganito:
“May pambayad pa naman.”
“Sa next sales na ako babawi.”
“Baka tumaas naman benta next week.”

Hope is not a financial strategy.

If you don’t track your cash flow,
your cash flow will surprise you —
in the worst way.

💡 **Your Business Doesn’t Need More Sales…

It Needs More Discipline**

Sometimes the solution is not to sell more.
Sometimes the solution is to fix your habits.

A business with high sales can still die
if the owner has low financial discipline.

👉 What I, as a Business Mentor with 35 Years Experience, Would Think and Recommend

Over the years, I’ve seen entrepreneurs turn around failing businesses simply by adjusting their mindset — not their sales.

Here’s my recommendation:

✔ Separate personal and business money
✔ Track every peso (daily)
✔ Cut unnecessary expenses
✔ Delay lifestyle upgrades
✔ Avoid emotional spending
✔ Pay yourself a fixed salary
✔ Build an emergency fund for the business
✔ Prioritize cash flow over appearances

And most importantly:

Never spend today based on tomorrow’s expected sales.

Discipline creates growth.
Discipline saves businesses.
