Reasons Why People Start a Business

If you are an entrepreneur, what has pushed you to become one? How were you earning before you started to have your own business?

If you ask most people about why would they want to start a business, the answer would be unanimous. Obviously, to have more money. And it is a valid reason. Why would you even involve yourself with something if it won’t give you anything of (monetary) value, right? However, asking a few people about what has made them decide to start a business, here are their answers:

1.  Some people are born with such creative minds that they would want to know if what they have done is something that others can benefit from. And from doing so, it would entail a lot of work in which earning from it would entail an additional stream of income. He may feel that he has a unique way of running the business successfully because he gets to be involved with different aspects of the company’s operation. Wearing various hats doesn’t scare them, but rather a challenge which they are willing to take.

2.  Some people are may no longer feel happy with their current employment and realize that working for others does not help him/her to reach her goals. They may no longer want to be forever among those who feel like robots going in and out of the office building. It is their way of spreading their wings and wanting to try something new.

3. Being in charge or being the boss makes a person feel that he can conquer everything and that he can make things happen since he makes him involved with the day to day operations.

4. People are driven to start their own business out of necessity. Obviously, life is not getting easier no matter how much you tighten your belt, primary commodities continue to soar and everything else follows. Having a family of 4 is difficult enough to sustain particularly when you send your children to exclusive schools. And we know that a large majority of students previously enrolled in exclusive schools have transferred to public schools because of lack of financial resources to support their education. Not that we belittle public school teachings, but we all know that when employers would look at the transcripts of applicants, they are more inclined to choose those from popular schools.

5. Among other things, some entrepreneurs just want to taste the feeling of accomplishment. It is a different feeling knowing that a small business that you once built have become a household name. And it takes a lot of patience and perseverance to be able to reach your goal.

The need to have various streams of income is very much recommended by financial advisers mainly because there are a lot of opportunities of earning more than what you earn now. Using your money unwisely, no matter how many millions you may earn in a month could just go up in smoke in a blink of an eye. Remember that there are people who are just watching your every move and some are just waiting for you to fall. So, as the saying goes, “never put all your eggs in one basket”. Spread out your resources, but make sure that there is some amount in return. Be vigilant in checking out what kind of people you are dealing with. Doing side  business in the Philippines.

Various Streams of Income

Aside from having your own business, you can also make use of your extra funds into great investments. I mean not a financial expert, but I do realize that there are opportunities out there waiting to be discovered and can serve as a good source of income, most especially when you reach retirement. I have mentioned in my articles before about where people should invest their money. Quoting Wikipedia’s definition, “an investment is asset bought or money that is put into a bank to get a future interest from it.” You may choose from the following:

1.Real Estate Property

2.High-Interest Savings Account

3.Stocks

4.Business

Most people fear the word “investment” thinking that this is only for rich people. But, when you really think about it, we all need to set aside a portion of our monthly earnings so that we can have something that we can enjoy when we grow older. This is one of the reasons why some millennial entrepreneurs are really dragging their way to become successful at a young age. They want to retire early and live the rest of their lives happy and stress-free. Side business Philippines

Would you now consider having a side business while being employed? I think that is truly a great idea! Imagine if a lot of people would be having this kind of thinking, then the rising prices of commodities would not scare them that much plus they get to secure their future, too.
